Stilligent

Intelligent
Distillation
Controller

Your still, run your way.

Good distilling is a craft of constant attention: temperatures, heat, cut points, drip rate, receivers. Stilligent learns how your still and your recipes behave, then handles that attention for you - calling the cuts, managing the heat, and alerting you on your phone or PC whenever you're needed, with a siren at the still if anything goes wrong.

Consistent spirit, run after run, without hovering over the boiler.

Why Stilligent

Better spirit, less staring

Hours back in your day

A spirit run can take most of a day. Stilligent keeps watch, so you needn't stand over the boiler.

A recipe for every spirit

Starter recipes for whisky, brandy, rum, neutral and flavoured spirits - or your own, each with its own cut points.

Your best run, repeated

Every cut you make teaches the recipe, so each run comes closer to your taste.

Steady heat, whatever the mains

Set the power in kilowatts. Stilligent measures the voltage and keeps the heat the same from one day to the next.

Fits your still

Pot stills and reflux columns, with one heating element or up to four - including the still you already own.

On any screen

Monitor and control the run from an Android phone, iPhone, tablet or PC.

New to distilling?

Start with our plain-English guide

How a still works, what the cuts are, and how a run unfolds - no prior knowledge assumed. Then make something: each classic recipe comes with a calculator for your batch.

Learns over time

Every still is different. Stilligent learns yours.

Heat transfer, lag and geometry make every still behave a little differently. Stilligent's AI learns how yours responds over successive runs - and, by recording the decisions you make as well as the sensor readings, the judgement behind a good run. The more it is used, the more consistent each run becomes.

Your nose and palate stay in charge. One tap makes a cut whenever you judge it right, and if a suggested cut comes too early, Not yet keeps the jar filling. Rate the run, note how it tasted and mark the jars you blended: after each run the recipe moves gently towards your choices. Learning can be switched off, and any change undone.

Safety monitoring

Cuts the power. Sounds the alarm.

Layered cut-offs and watchdog timers are designed so that no single failure leaves the element heating. If something isn't right - even a column-head sensor that slips out of the column - Stilligent cuts the supply and raises the alarm, to help prevent an accident. It can help to improve safety, but it is not a safety device.

Precision

Every cut, called on time

Every recipe has its own cut points, kept as they would be at sea level for a standard wash. Stilligent adjusts them for the day's air pressure, your altitude and the strength of your wash, then calls each transition as it happens - and learns from any cut you choose to make yourself.

Try a full run in minutes

The demo is the real Stilligent interface, connected to a live controller running a simulated still - nothing to install. Watch a run go from cold boiler to finished batch, and bring your questions to the forum.
